USANA Review - 15 Truths You Need To Know Before You Join

USANA Review – 15 Truths You Need To Know Before You Join

Usana is a massive network marketing company in the health and wellness niche.

USANA has gone through some crazy things in the past and probably the worst nightmare for a huge company like this…

They were investigated by the SEC and the FBI and took a massive hit because of that.

Most MLM companies don’t bounce back from something like that, but USANA seems to be going in the right direction.

I know they are not where they were ten years ago, but they are growing again…

Regardless of everything, here are the 15 critical truths you need to know about USANA.

Usana review

#15.  They have over 200 USANA associates that have hit the million dollar Mark

Crazy right?  USANA has over 200 distributors earn $1 million or more, which is pretty awesome.  Normally large network marketing companies like this have around 100 that hit the 7 figure mark. (1)

#14.  Full-Time Established USANA Associates Average $76,000 Yearly Income

Normally when you take a look at income disclosures of any MLM company, it always sucks.

You would think it would be a 6 figure mark, but it’s normally closer to 3 figures…

I know terrible…

However, USANA’s figures are pretty insane at $76,000 Yearly Income for full-time established distributors.

Now I am not sure what “established” refers to, but nevertheless it’s still impressive. (2)

#13.  $25,000 Annual Average Income in USANA

For the associates that earned at least ONE commission check per month (doesn’t include all distributors), they earn an average of $25,000 per year.

Sure it’s not as crazy at the $76,000 mentioned earlier, but still great for any network marketing company.

Note that this doesn’t include any brand new people who just got started that doesn’t have a customer base yet.

This is for the the associates who are active and earn some type of commission every month. (3)

#12.  Six Ways TO Earn Inside of USANA

USANA binary compensation plan offers six ways to make money which include the following:

  1. Retail Sales
  2. Weekly Commissions
  3. Lifetime Matching Bonus
  4. Incentives
  5. Leadership Bonus
  6. Elite Bonus

They set it up in a way where you can start earning pretty quickly if you take action of course…

#11.  USANA Pays 10% Commission On Personal Sales

The 10% is calculated by taking the retail price and taking it off the preferred price.

The profit is the difference…

If you check out the retail prices, they are pretty high and much higher than the average marketplace.

The preferred price is closer to what the marketplace sells high quality supplements for.

USANA recommends charging 10% over the preferred price.

I know it’s not a lot, but it’s one form of commissions.

#10.  20% Commissions In USANA’s Binary Compensation Plan

As an associate you can earn 20% in their binary compensation plan which is on the group sales volume.

Most network marketing companies pay around 5 to 10% which is a good thing.

#9.  Great Bonuses In USANA

Most MLM give out $50 to $100 worth of bonuses when you first get started to get you going, but then that’s about it.

USANA takes it to the next level by providing lifetime bonus that matches commissions on your personally sponsored members who have hit Premier or Premier Platinum rank.

Other bonuses are just as good that focus on leadership and teamwork. (4)

#8.  Low Start Up Costs

You can get started for as little as $30 for their Business Development System which includes everything you need to get going.

Now, I would recommend still purchasing products to sell…

But it’s still relevately cheap to get started compared to other MLMs (see:  Jeunesse, Kyani and NHT Global).

#7.  In Business for 20 Years

USANA has been going strong for over 20 years and they are doing in the right direction.

You don’t have to worry about them shutting down anytime soon which is a good peace of mind because so many come and go…

#6.  USANA’s Proprietary InCelligence Formula

Usana products

USANA’s products are really unique and have a special formula called InCelligence that nourishes your cells.

Now, I have seen some YouTube video’s where they compare their products to others and it will actually pretty cool.

I personally haven’t tested it them out, but there is a lot of proof on YouTube that their products might do what they are claiming…

Best thing to do really is to test them out for yourself and see how they make you feel.

#5.  USANA Products Are Not FDA Approved

None of their products have been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.

Also, their patent is still pending…

USANA does put a disclaimer on their products saying “is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.”

That’s actually a good thing because so many MLM companies put out claims and they get whacked by the FDA.

#4.  Science Backing For Health Benefits

Usana holds five other patents even though their latest one called InCelligence Blend is still pending.

There have been dozens of studies done on their products to see if they actually do what they say…

Both in house and third party studies always come out positive.

#3.  Great Variety Of Products

Usana has a great variety of products and fall into the categories like most health and wellness MLM companies.

  • Usana Nutritionals – Supplements and multivitamins
  • Usana Diet & Energy – Meal replacement and energy drinks
  • Sense Personal Care – Skincare, hair, and body products (better than Nerium?)

ConsumberLab.com tested their products back in 2011 and passed.

In order to pass, they must follow FDA guidelines, Pharmaceutical guidelines and can’t contain any traces of toxic chemicals or materials like lead. (6)

#2.  Recovered From FBI and SEC Investigation In 2007

Like most HUGE network marketing companies, USANA was pretty much untouchable until 2007 came around…

Barry Minkow, who was a former stock fraud felon, wrote and submitted a massive 500 page report basically accusing USANA being a pyramid scheme and committed illegal practices to gain their profits.

In a matter of months, Usana’s stock went from $60 to $35 which really sucked. (7)

#1.  Massive Revenue And Still Growing

Regardless of the massive hit in 2007, Usana hit $648 million back in 2012…

The crazy part is, they kept growing year after year…

In 2013 they hit $718 million and then in 2015 they smashed $918.5 million. (9)

Overall USANA is a great network marketing company with a bright future…

Now before you join just remember it’s more on the expensive side so you have to be very passionate about it.

Overall I rate this company the following:
